Ode To PJs
By Sue Dickinson

To the Tune of "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Oh the day has been just frightful
The kids have been so spiteful
And the car broke down again
Oh my head, Oh my head, Oh my head.

There’s trouble with a colleague
I’m sick of all the intrigue
And the talking tongue in cheek
What a week, What a week, What a week

But when I’m finally home at night
All the stress from my day starts to melt
And when the kids are all tucked in tight
There’s one thing to make it all right…

I run into the bedroom
More excited than a bridegroom
Slip into comfort most supreme
What a dream, What a dream, What a dream

You may wonder what’s so blissful
My flannel jammies, pure and simple
I’m as cozy as a bedbug
Oh so snug, Oh so snug, Oh so snug.

Please don’t laugh until you’ve tried it
You’ll go from stressed to having a riot
It’s a slumber party all night
Life’s all right, Life’s all right, Life’s all right.
